just typing "emacs" after upgrading from Mg-1 to Mg-2 got me an "emacs: Command
not found."
Uninstalling & reinstalling fixed.
"emacs" resolves to /usr/bin/emacs, which links to /etc/alternatives/emacs,
which (now) links to /usr/bin/emacs-23.3. My guess (now not checkable...) is
that the "alternatives" link may not get upgraded?

MGA 1 is EOL on december 1st, so not many people will upgrade from it any more.
